We are delighted to share that Sage Vets has been awarded GOLD Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).
Achieving this has been a key part of our original vision: to create a practice that is not only welcoming to cats but also meets the highest standards of feline care. We couldn’t be prouder!
Our ethos
We understand that every animal is unique, and we approach each case with empathy, expertise, and respect. Through preventive medicine, state-of-the-art diagnostics, and minimally invasive treatments, we prioritise the long-term health and well-being of your pets.
With this in mind, we have now launched our Pet Health Plans, to help reduce and spread the cost of routine preventative healthcare for your pet. Including unlimited free consultations, subscribers receive discounted flea and worming treatments that are collected in an easy monthly direct debit.

Individualised care for your pet
Our brand new purpose built practice includes digital X-ray, operating theatre, in house laboratory, ultrasound, echocardiography and dental facilities. We have dedicated dog and cat waiting areas and hospital facilities, keeping your pet’s visit as stress free as possible.
Location
Sage Vets is located at 230 High Road, Loughton IG10 1ET. There are two car parks around the corner on The Drive, within two minutes walk. The Morrisons car park allows 90 minutes free parking and the adjacent council car park offers pay by phone through the mipermit app.
If you need direct access to the surgery there is a drop off point behind the practice in the NCP car park. Please call the practice for assistance as we are happy to help.
Opening Hours
Monday to Friday: 8.30-18.30
Saturday: 9.00-12.00
Sundays and Bank Holidays: Closed
If your pet is registered with us and in need of urgent veterinary attention outside of these hours, please contact our out-of-hours providers.

Could not be happier with the service from Sage Vets, so thorough and thoughtful. After lots of investigations we finally found that my bonkers retriever had broken his rib. Mark explained everything and was completely open with costings. We took it all step by step and felt completely looked after. So happy that we have this practice on our doorstep now.

We are very happy with this new vet practice. It was just what was needed in Loughton. I have taken my rabbit for her vaccinations. My golden retriever has been to see Mark a couple of times, thankfully we took out the healthplan. Mark is very thorough and cares for my pets. I switched from a good vet in Harlow as Sage vet is much more convenient. Staff are extremely polite and helpful. The best practice around in my opinion.

I've had two visits to Sage Vets so far, one with my [Giant breed] dog and one with my rather hissy cat. Mark has been amazing on both visits showing amazing knowledge and care. He is thorough in his investigations [hissy cat can vouch for this] and honest in treatment costs. Really glad to have this service so close to home.

This is by far the best vets I have been to with my 7 year old cocker spaniel. I never write reviews but thought I would as the service I received was fantastic for my very nervous dog. Service and price was excellent could not fault anything. Thank you very much.
